“More influential than the Chocolate Soup series!”

(Nick Brown – Intoxica Records)

“Le Beat Bespoké, has been delivering a tailor made compilation of underground Sixties club hits for a decade now. Compiled by Rob Bailey it has been an introduction for many to the sights and sounds that have been fuelling the dance floors of happenings like Mousetrap, Crossfire and the annual Le Beat Bespoké festival. Where infamous compilations such as Pebbles, Back From The Grave and Rubble have focused on the lost treasures from the vaults of fanatical collectors, Le Beat Bespoké differs in that it is made by a DJ with the intention of delivering an LP that will keep your feet moving from start to finish. For those familiar with the club nights it’s a flashback to evenings spent enjoying the tunes and for the uninitiated it’s an invitation to experience what lies inside those legendary London haunts that have become so important to so many!”

(Rhys Webb – The Horrors)

“If you’ve ever attended a European mod rally or ’60s garage festival, chances are you’re familiar with Rob Bailey, main man behind the New Untouchables organization and for the last decade or so one of the top DJs on the scene. Bailey’s DJ sets are the stuff of legend; he has the knack of consistently digging up new obscurities and turning them into dance floor smashes. You could spend a lifetime-not to mention your lifesavings-tracking down and scoring these records, or you could take the easy route and pick up Le Beat Bespoké!”

(Mike Stax – Ugly Things Magazine)

Never released on vinyl before and available now as a limited-edition single on Le Beat Bespoke 45 series with the Freakbeat killer Ypotron on the
B-side. After several great UK singles on Piccadilly The Sorrows relocated to Italy in the summer of ’66 and enjoyed some relative success, going through several line-up changes.

By 1968, The Sorrows were a 3 piece with original members Bruce Finlay and Wez Price joined by Chuck Fryers, The band returned home to look for a new singer. They persuaded Chris Smith from local Coventry band East Side Protection to join and went into Pye studios with long-time producer John Schroeder. They recorded four songs including the outstanding Chuck Fryers composition “Which Way.” Schroeder wasn’t interested and released the Sorrows from their contract when the band returned to Rome. “Which Way” would surely be regarded as one of the finest and most collectable UK Freakbeat/Psych singles of the decade had it been released. Fast forward fifty-five years you can now grab a limited edition 45 to stand alongside the other cult 45’s of the era. Licensed by Cherry Red Records Ltd.

The LBB 45 series is available from the NUTSTORE here.

The A-side released on 45 for the first time was first heard on legendary series “Back From the Grave”.
Available now as a limited-edition single on Le Beat Bespoke 45 series with the killer Italian Garage Beat track Balbettando by I 5 Monelli on the B-side.
